Very expected game when 12th ranked Hiroshima L. (1-29) was smashed at home by sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (22-10) 98-56. The game without a history. Shiga L-Stars led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hiroshima L.'s 24. They outrebounded Hiroshima L. 67-31 including a 29-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturalized Brazilian forward Kazuya Hatano (192-82) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars' coach Tohyama Kohto felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ayumu Osawa (-91) produced 19 points and Daichi Tomioka added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Shiga L-Stars have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Hiroshima L. lost sixteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 29 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will have a break next round.
