Second Stage Round 3: Limbazi - Turiba 67-60

Very important is a road loss of Turiba (7-5) against Limbazi (7-5) on Friday night. Visiting Turiba was defeated by Limbazi in a tough game in Limbazi 60-67. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Turiba won third quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Limbazi forced 19 Turiba turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Rolands Brencs (197-86) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Toms Bititis (183-92) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Rihards Adins (200-94) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Davids Muiznieks (196-94) added 15 points respectively. Four Turiba players scored in double figures. Limbazi will meet Pardaguava (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Turiba will play against Marupe (#7) and hope to secure a win.
