Very important is a road loss of third ranked Perth Lynx (15-8) against ninth ranked Canberra Capitals (1-22) on Friday night. Visiting Perth Lynx was edged by Canberra Capitals in a tough game in Canberra 77-80. It looked good early as Perth Lynx took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Canberra Capitals had a 22-15 second period charge getting the lead and Perth Lynx was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-80. Canberra Capitals had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international center Abby Bishop (189-88) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. American forward Denesha Stallworth (190-92, college: Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Canberra Capitals players scored in double figures.
