Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Lyon (8-8) outscored at home 10th ranked Nantes Reze (5-10) 84-55 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-55. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Latoya Williams (192-87, college: Chipola JC) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian Dajana Butulija (176-86, agency: Beo Basket) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side Canadian forward Katherine Plouffe (190-92, college: Marquette) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and Spanish swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) scored 13 points. Lyon moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Mondeville. Nantes Reze at the other side keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Lyon will meet higher ranked Nice (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Nantes Reze will play against the league's leader Lattes Montpellier (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
