Very expected game when 12th ranked Vigarano (6-17) was crushed at home by fourth ranked Venezia (18-5) 73-44 on Saturday. Venezia dominated on the defensive end, holding Vigarano to just 4 points in second quarter. Point guard Caterina Dotto (167-93, agency: LBM Management) fired 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Ashleigh Fontenette (172-89, college: Texas) chipped in 12 points. American guard Amber Orrange (170-93, college: Stanford, agency: LBM Management) produced 13 points and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Samantha Ostarello (188-91, college: Purdue, agency: LBM Management) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Venezia.
