Regular Season Round 19: AZS PCz - AZS AGH Alstom 79-114

2Liga top team - AZS AGH Alstom (17-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked AZS PCz (9-10) in Czestochowa 114-79. AZS AGH Alstom made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 AZS PCz turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by AZS PCz's players. AZS PCz was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for power forward Maciej Maj (200-88) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Tomasz Zych (185-87) contributed with 13 points and 5 assists for the winners. AZS AGH Alstom's coach Wojciech Bychawski felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Szymon Rynkiewicz (198-91) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Tomasz Nogalski (192-79) added 14 points in the effort for AZS PCz. Five AZS AGH Alstom and four AZS PCz players scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for AZS AGH Alstom. They maintain first place in Group C with 17-2 record. Loser AZS PCz keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. AZS AGH Alstom will face AZS AWF M. II (#10) in Katowice in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS PCz will play on the road against MKS DG 2 (#12) in Dabrowa Gornicza and hope to win that game.
