Regular Season Round 16: Aulnoye - Montbrison 64-49

Very expected game when 10th ranked Montbrison (4-12) was defeated on the road by second ranked Aulnoye (14-2) 64-49. The game was mostly controlled by Aulnoye. Montbrison was better in third quarter 16-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aulnoye forced 20 Montbrison turnovers. It was a very good performance for naturalized DR Congolese forward Lorraine Lokoka (184-89) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Marie Frederique Ayissi (184-82) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Romanian forward Anca Sipos (185-85) replied with 16 points and center Nelly Larraud (188-93) added 4 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Montbrison. Aulnoye maintains second position with 14-2 record having just one point less than leader Tarbes. Montbrison lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth place with 12 games lost. Aulnoye's next round opponent will be Dunkerque (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Montbrison will play against Reims and hope to win that game.
