Regular Season Round 19: SMS PZKosz - TKM Wloclawek 80-88

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked TKM Wloclawek (4-15) beat higher ranked SMS PZKosz (6-11) in Wladyslawowo 88-80 on Saturday. TKM Wloclawek made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Strangely SMS PZKosz outrebounded TKM Wloclawek 38-25 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for point guard Mateusz Krawiec (187-87) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Kamil Hanke (192-95) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four TKM Wloclawek players scored in double figures. Guard Michal Kierlewicz (192-97) answered with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Rafal Komenda (200-98) added 11 points in the effort for SMS PZKosz. SMS PZKosz's coach Miroslaw Noculak rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted TKM Wloclawek maintains twelfth place in Group A with 4-15 record. Loser SMS PZKosz keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. TKM Wloclawek will face higher ranked Asseco II (#3) in Gdynia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
