Regular Season Round 27: Fyllingen BBK - Asker Aliens 80-61

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Fyllingen BBK (5-14) smashed at home 8th ranked Asker Aliens (9-9) 80-61. It looked good early as Asker Aliens took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Fyllingen BBK had a 21-16 second period charge getting the lead and Asker Aliens were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-80. Fyllingen BBK dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Asker Aliens' 34. 24 personal fouls committed by Asker Aliens helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Calvin Henry (198-86, college: Mercer) who led his team to a victory with 31 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Brede Ellingsen (188-88) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. The former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) answered with 33 points (!!!) and Latvian forward Alvis Eglitis (195-85) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Asker Aliens. Newly promoted Fyllingen BBK maintains tenth place with 5-14 record. Defending champion Asker Aliens dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Fyllingen BBK will have a break next round.
