No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Azuqueca (9-6) beat at home 13th ranked Estudiantes B (4-11) 66-59 on Saturday. Estudiantes B was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 15-4 charge of Azuqueca, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Estudiantes B to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Azuqueca shot 23 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Estudiantes B only scored five points from the stripe. Estudiantes B was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Faronte Drakeford (201, college: Cent.Conn.St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Oscar Raya (209-89) contributed with 5 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Croatian power forward Filip Bundovic (205-94, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Sergio Sanchez (189-81) added 5 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Estudiantes B. Estudiantes B's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Azuqueca moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with Real Canoe. Estudiantes B lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Azuqueca will face league's leader Albacete on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Estudiantes B will play against Gran Canaria (#10) and hope to win that game.
