Regular Season Round 21: St Vallier - Vitre 92-71

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Saint Vallier (15-6) crushed at home 17th ranked Vitre (6-15) 92-71. They outrebounded Vitre 46-30 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saint Vallier players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Harry Disy (200-84, college: Louisiana Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Guyanese forward Gide Noel (198-93) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. Coach Jean-Sebastien Chardon's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American Wilbert Brown (199-84, college: Niagara) who recorded 30 points and 9 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Desmond Quincy-Jones (201-85, college: Pace) added 23 points respectively. Saint Vallier have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Maurienne. Newly promoted Vitre keeps the seventeenth position with 15 games lost. Saint Vallier's next round opponent will be Aix-Maurienne (#3) in Aix-les-Bains, which may be the game of the day. Vitre will play at home against Caen (#6) and hope to win that game.
