Regular Season Round 18: Sant Lluis - Arenys 51-76

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Sant Lluis (0-16) was outscored at home by eighth ranked Arenys (7-11) 76-51 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Arenys dominated on the defensive end, holding Sant Lluis to just 3 points in third quarter and to 14 points in second half. Arenys forced 21 Sant Lluis turnovers. It was a good game for guard Gerard Blat (181) who led his team to a victory with 14 points. GMBn forward Omar Toure (199-94) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Miralles Ibon (192-97) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Montenegrin forward Balsa Mirotic (197-97) added 6 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sant Lluis. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Arenys maintains eighth position in Group C-A with 7-11 record. Newly promoted Sant Lluis still closes the standings with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
