Very expected game when 15th ranked Fondi (3-18) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Cassino (15-6) 98-62 on Saturday. Cassino shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Swingman Fabio Lovatti (194-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and guard Filiberto Dri (190-89) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was point guard Antonello Lilliu (182-82) with 20 points and 7 assists and naturalized San Marino power forward Igor Biordi (200-96) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Cassino maintains fourth place in B with 15-6 record. Loser Fondi keeps the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Cassino will face league's second-placed Napoli Basket on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
