Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Badajoz BF (6-12) beat on the road 13th ranked Oviedo (3-15) 56-52 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 56-52. American swingman Sashana Bucknor (185, college: E.Michigan) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Noelia Pariente (183-96) chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Carolina Ramos (190-93) with 10 points and 8 rebounds and center Marina Vilella (185-92) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Oviedo's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Badajoz BF moved-up to ninth place in Group A, which they share with RC Celta and Cortegada. Loser Oviedo keeps the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Badajoz BF will face ADBA (#14) in Aviles in the next round where they are favorite. Oviedo will play on the road against Real Celta Vigo and hope to win that game.
