Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Leganes and 6th ranked Plenilunio had identical 11-6 record. This time Leganes used a home court advantage and outleveled the opponent from Madrid 78-52 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Leganes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Leganes forced 22 Plenilunio turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Paula Justel (186-92) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Celia Menendez (186-90, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Leganes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Daira Varas (193-89) with 12 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Maria Bolonio (180-85) scored 13 points. Plenilunio's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Leganes (12-6) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with UCAM Jairis. Loser Plenilunio keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Leganes will face UCAM Jairis (#4) in Alcantarilla in the next round. Plenilunio will play at home against the league's leader Alcobendas and hope to win that game.
