Second Stage Round 6: Trelleborg - Boras II 112-69

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Trelleborg and 6th ranked Boras II had identical 8-6 record. This time Trelleborg used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Boras 112-69 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Trelleborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Boras II's 26. Trelleborg forced 22 Boras II turnovers and outrebounded them 45-22 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian power forward Tadas Kvederavicius (200-90) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Trelleborg players scored in double figures. Trelleborg's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward John Brandmark (200-97) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Robin Alm (184-93) added 20 points respectively. Trelleborg (9-6) moved-up to second place in BEHS forts, which they share with Helsingborg. Loser Boras II dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Trelleborg will have a break next round. Boras II will play at home against Wetterbygden (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
