Regular Season Round 37: Aomori Watts - Shinshu BW 71-79

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Aomori Watts (15-18) lost at home to tenth ranked Shinshu BW (14-19) 79-71. Aomori Watts were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Shinshu BW had a 35-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) fired a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds for the winners. Forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) produced 28 points and forward Jesse Perry (200-89, college: Arizona) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Shinshu BW have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Fukuoka Rizing and Gunma. Aomori Watts at the other side keep the eighth position with 18 games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round.
