Regular Season Round 18: TAKE Tolosa - Clavijo 83-50

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Clavijo's (5-9) road loss to eighth ranked TAKE Tolosa (7-7) 50-83 on Saturday. The game without a history. TAKE Tolosa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for guard Lander Lasa (193-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Goar Arteche (186-77) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Point guard Brais Gago (180-96) replied with 13 points and forward Daniel Lopez Villanueva (195-89) added 6 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Clavijo. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TAKE Tolosa moved-up to seventh place in Group A-A. Loser Clavijo keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. TAKE Tolosa will face Burgos (#10) on the road in the next round. Clavijo will play against Valladolid Univ. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
