Regular Season Round 19: Polonia Bytom - Zaglebie 81-62

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Polonia Bytom (16-3) outplayed at home 5th ranked Zaglebie (10-9) 81-62 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Polonia Bytom especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Quite impressive performance for Emil Podkowinski (194-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Lukasz Bak (210-81, agency: Promotex) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Polonia Bytom players scored in double figures. Piotr Osiakowski (197-92) answered with 15 points and swingman Kamil Wojciak (193-85) added 10 points in the effort for Zaglebie. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Polonia Bytom maintains second place in Group C with 16-3 record behind leader AZS AGH Alstom. Loser Zaglebie keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Polonia Bytom will face Cieszyn (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zaglebie will play against MCKiS Jaworz. (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
