Not a big story in a game in Zaragoza where 12th ranked Aragon (4-14) was rolled over by third ranked Araski AES (14-4) 69-50 on Saturday. The game without a history. Araski AES led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Argentinian forward Maria Lineira (181-83) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Nigerian swingman Kathleen Iwuoha (180-93, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Celia Bandres (-90) with 12 points and Betania Simon (184-96) scored 4 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Araski AES have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group A with 14-4 record having just two points less than leader Alcobendas. Aragon lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with 14 games lost. Araski AES will face Maquinaria Ensino (#7) in Lugo in the next round. Aragon will play on the road against Cortegada (#10) in Vilagarcia Arousa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
