Regular Season Round 17: Zabok - Gorica 76-66

An interesting game took place in Zabok where higher ranked Gorica (7-9) was upset on the court of tenth ranked KK Zabok (5-10) 76-66. The game was mostly controlled by KK Zabok. Gorica was better in third quarter 16-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Domagoj Vukovic (208-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Toni Kumanovic (191-97) contributed with 7 points and 4 assists for the winners. KK Zabok's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Ivan Papac (207-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Bruno Skokna (190-97) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Gorica. Five Gorica players scored in double figures. KK Zabok maintains tenth place with 5-10 record. Gorica at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. KK Zabok's next round opponent will be higher ranked Vrijednosnice OS (#6) in Osijek and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
