An exciting game was played in Heffingen. Heffingen faced Grengewald. Host Heffingen (5-15) smashed guests from Niederanven (13-7) 99-67. The game was mostly controlled by Heffingen. Grengewald was better in second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Heffingen forced 19 Grengewald turnovers and outrebounded them 53-28 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Brad Reese (199-88, college: Texas Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 19 rebounds. Jalen Nesbitt (198, college: N.Florida, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Reese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Heffingen players scored in double figures. Heffingen's coach Mark Reed felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Bryan Hammond (185-91, college: Angelo St.) produced 25 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Seth Bachand (198-92, college: Northern St.) added 15 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. Heffingen will face Soleuvre in Belvaux in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Grengewald will play at home against Bascharage and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
