Regular Season Round 16: Mondeville - Hainaut 79-67

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Mondeville (8-8) defeated at home 8th ranked Hainaut (7-8) 79-67 on Saturday. The game without a history. Mondeville led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Kristen Sharp (175-81, college: Cincinnati) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and power forward Lysa Millavet (185-95) who added 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side DR Congolese power forward Pauline Akonga Nsimbo (188-82, agency: LBM Management) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Joyce Cousseins-Smith (165-88) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Mondeville and five Hainaut players scored in double figures. Mondeville moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lyon. Hainaut at the other side dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Mondeville will meet higher ranked Villeneuve D'Ascq (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hainaut will play against Toulouse (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
