Very expected game when 7th ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (10-8) was crushed on the road by third ranked Rivas Promete (13-4) 63-42 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rivas Promete led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Rivas Promete forced 22 ASEFA Estudiantes turnovers. Lithuanian power forward Dovile Miliauskaite (187-89, college: Towson, agency: Josep and Nicolas) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Veronica Matoso (185-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 7 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Laura San Bartolome (187-79) with 7 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Natalia Lopez (171-93) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rivas Promete moved-up to second place in Group B. ASEFA Estudiantes lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Rivas Promete will face Barcelona (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. ASEFA Estudiantes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Madrid Olimpico 64.
