The game in Bratislava was also quite interesting. Third ranked Piestanske C. (18-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Slovan (8-15). Piestanske C. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 72-54 on Saturday. Piestanske C. forced 19 Slovan turnovers. It was a great evening for American center Nadia Parker (191-87, college: USC) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Nikola Dudasova (175-95) helped adding 14 points. Parker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Renata Talajkova (189-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and guard Lena Slezarikova (175-93) scored 11 points. Slovan's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Piestanske C.. They maintain third place with 18-4 record having six points less than leader Good Angels. Loser Slovan keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. Piestanske C. will face league's second-placed MBK Ruzomberok on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Slovan will play against Banska Bystrica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
