Regular Season Round 16: Limoges - Charnay 55-59

An interesting game took place in Limoges where higher ranked Limoges (7-9) was upset on its own court by eleventh ranked Charnay (3-13) 59-55. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Limoges. Limoges was ahead by 11 points after three quarters before a 26-11 charge of Charnay, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Limoges turnovers. It was a very good performance for forward Laure Belleville (175-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Candace Williams (184-88, college: New Hampshire) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Charnay players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Nakeshia Hyde (178-90, college: Texas Tech) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Tiphaine Melois (170-94) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Limoges. Limoges' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Charnay maintains eleventh position with 3-13 record. Limoges at the other side dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Charnay's next round opponent will be higher ranked LTB 29 (#4) in Pleyber-Christ and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
