Fourteenth-ranked ADBA (1-17) gave a tough game to sixth ranked C.Adelantados (11-7) in Aviles on Saturday. The visitors from San Cristobal managed to secure only one-point victory 66-65. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 22-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Center Lucia Mendez (182-88) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Tyonna Outland (173-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) chipped in 17 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Andrea Rios (187-91) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Congolese center Bashala Emilie (196-94) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. C.Adelantados have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with Aros Leon. ADBA lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. C.Adelantados will face Aros Leon (#5) at home in the next round. ADBA will play against Badajoz BF (#11) and hope to win that game.
