The most exciting game of round 6 in the Premier League took place in Grodno. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-best Gorizont (17-4) to third ranked Olimpia GrGAU (16-5) 81-80 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 1 point. Olimpia GrGAU outrebounded Gorizont 56-32 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Olimpia GrGAU made 7 blocks. It was a good game for the former international Maryia Filonchyk (189-92) who saved her team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks. The former international Tatsiana Dashkevich (178-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Natalia Anufryienka (174-85) replied with 29 points and 8 rebounds and forward Galina Shylovich (182-91) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Gorizont. Four Gorizont players scored in double figures. Olimpia GrGAU maintains third position with 16-5 record having just two point less than leader Tsmoki-Minsk. Gorizont at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
