Very expected game when 17th ranked MKS Start (3-18) lost on the road to eighth ranked AZS Koszalin (11-11) 84-76 on Sunday. MKS Start trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 25-19 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 76-84 at the end of the game. AZS Koszalin made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. American guard Stefhon Hannah (185-85, college: Missouri) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Czech Patrik Auda (206-89, college: Seton Hall) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Swingman Grzegorz Malecki (195-84, agency: Promotex) replied with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and center Jaroslaw Trojan (207-93) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for MKS Start. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. AZS Koszalin maintains eighth position with 11-11 record, which they share with Wilki Morskie. MKS Start lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 18 games lost. AZS Koszalin will face higher ranked Anwil (#4) in Wloclawek in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. MKS Start will play at home against Slask (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
