Regular Season Round 19: LKS Lodz - Start Lublin II 104-30

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Start Lublin II (7-12) was outleveled on the road by third ranked LKS Lodz (13-5) 104-30 on Sunday. LKS Lodz held Start Lublin II to an opponent 16.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 51.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Start Lublin II 68-26 including a 56-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. LKS Lodz looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by Start Lublin II's players. It was a very good performance for swingman Krystian Mik (192-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Arkadiusz Swit (200-93) contributed with 6 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four LKS Lodz players scored in double figures. Guard Jaroslaw Unilowski (180-96) answered with 12 points and forward Wojciech Halas (199-95) added 10 points in the effort for Start Lublin II. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for LKS Lodz. They maintain third place in Group B with 13-5 record having five points less than leader AZS AGH Alstom. Newly promoted Start Lublin II keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. LKS Lodz will face KK Warszawa (#7) at home in the next round. Start Lublin II will play against Polonia W-wa in Warszawa and hope to win that game.
