BJ League top team - Sendai 89ers (25-9) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat twelfth ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-31) 83-65. The game without a history. Sendai 89ers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Cinq R.'s 38. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Power forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sendai 89ers' coach Shuto Kawachi used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Guard Ryan Sypkens (193-91, college: Cal-Davis) produced 20 points and 8 rebounds and center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) added 14 points, 13 rebounds and 7 blocks respectively for the hosts. Sendai 89ers maintains first position with 25-9 record, which they share with Shimane SM. Tokyo Cinq R. lost twenty fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 31 games lost.
