Very predictable result when third ranked Naft Abadan (19-7) defeated at home 8th ranked Shah.Tabriz (4-21) 81-70. The game was mostly controlled by Naft Abadan. Shah.Tabriz was better in second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naft Abadan forced 19 Shah.Tabriz turnovers. The winners were led by forward M.Bagher Ghamari (195) who scored that evening 12 points and 8 rebounds and international Mohammad Hassanzadeh (203-90) supported him with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Five Naft Abadan players scored in double figures. Naft Abadan's coach Hemad Sameri used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Even 14 points and 6 rebounds by the former international forward Karam Ahmadian (198-77) did not help to save the game for Shah.Tabriz. Sajjad Pazrofteh added 9 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Naft Abadan maintains third position with 19-7 record having just three points less than leader Petrochimi. Shah.Tabriz lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth place with 21 games lost.
