There was an upset when higher ranked Tezenis VE (12-9) was edged on the road by twelfth ranked Bondi Ferrara (10-12) 59-57 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 2 points. Bondi Ferrara dominated on the defensive end, holding Tezenis VE to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Tezenis VE 38-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. American Esian Henderson (205-86, college: Central Mo., agency: HMS) stepped up and scored 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international power forward David Brkic (210-82, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (207-91) with 13 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Rayvonte Rice (193-92, college: Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 18 points. Bondi Ferrara moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Tezenis VE at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Bondi Ferrara will face Aurora Bsk Jesi (#14) on the road in the next round.
