Regular Season Round 21: Monsummano - Livorno 84-51

Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Monsummano (11-10) outscored at home 13th ranked Livorno (6-15) 84-51 on Sunday. Monsummano dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Livorno's 22. They outrebounded Livorno 46-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. The former international guard German Scarone (190-75) stepped up and scored 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and guard Andrea Maggiotto (194-88) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Five Monsummano players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Nicolo Ravazzani (200-85) with 6 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Giorgio Artioli (196-95) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Livorno's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Monsummano moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with Desio. Loser Livorno keeps the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Monsummano will face Faenza (#11) on the road in the next round. Livorno will play against Rimini and hope to win that game.
