Fifth-ranked Echague (13-16) gave a tough game to second ranked Hindu (21-7) in Chaco on Sunday. Hindu managed to secure only three-point victory 92-89. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Echague. They outrebounded Echague 40-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. 28 personal fouls committed by Echague helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American Kenny Jones (198-84, college: Kentucky St., agency: DTMones) stepped up and scored 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and point guard Nicolas Paletta (180-87) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. At the losing side guard Lisandro Ruiz Moreno (183-89) responded with 19 points and 5 assists and center Santiago Gonzalez (203-83) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hindu have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted Hindu maintains second place with 21-7 record having just eight point less than leader Platense. Echague at the other side keeps the fifth position with 16 games lost. Hindu are looking forward to face league's leader San Isidro in San Francisco in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Echague will play on the road against Sarmiento F. (#7) in Formosa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
