Regular Season Round 16: COB Calais - Villeneuve 51-76

There was no surprise when 12th ranked COB Calais (3-13) was crushed at home by fifth ranked Villeneuve D'Ascq (11-4) 76-51 on Sunday. The game without a history. Villeneuve D'Ascq led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Fatimatou Sacko (177-85, agency: Comsport) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and international center Aby Gaye (195-95, agency: Comsport) who added 17 points during the contest. Four Villeneuve D'Ascq players scored in double figures. At the losing side Czech forward Tereza Peckova (189-87) responded with 18 points and American Danielle McCray (186-87, college: Kansas) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Villeneuve D'Ascq moved-up to third place. COB Calais lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Angers. Villeneuve D'Ascq will meet at home Mondeville (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. COB Calais will play against Charleville-Mez. (#6) and hope to secure a win.
