The game in Gdynia supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Anwil (16-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Asseco (12-9). Anwil did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 86-66. The game was mostly controlled by Anwil. Asseco was better in fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Anwil forced 20 Asseco turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Czech swingman David Jelinek (196-90) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Piotr Stelmach (205-84, college: Mississippi St., agency: BeoExcell) who added 16 points during the contest. Center Jakub Parzenski (212-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and guard Filip Matczak (187-93) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Anwil have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 16-5 record. Asseco at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Anwil will play against AZS Koszalin (#8) at home in the next round. Asseco will play against Rosa in Radom and hopes to get back on the winning track.
