Very expected game in Comodoro R. where 8th ranked Instituto C. (16-21) was defeated by second ranked GECR Indalo (20-13) 91-85 on Tuesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Instituto C. won third quarter 30-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international point guard Nicolas De los Santos (180-88) fired 25 points and 6 steals for the winners. The former international forward Matias Sandes (201-84) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Jazwin Cowan (203-83, college: Hampton, agency: DTMones) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman J.R. Giddens (196-85, college: N.Mexico) added 24 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five GECR Indalo and four Instituto C. players scored in double figures. GECR Indalo maintains second position with 20-13 record having eight points less than leader San Lorenzo. Instituto C. lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth place with 21 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
