Regular Season Round 18: Nantes - Orchies 78-58

No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Nantes (9-9) crushed at home bottom-ranked Orchesien BC (3-15) 78-58 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Nantes. Orchesien BC was better in second period 18-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nantes forced 19 Orchesien BC turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 19 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). Swingman Valentin Bigote (196-92, agency: Comsport) contributed with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Swingman Rodrigue Mels (190-85, college: CS Northridge, agency: Three Eye Sports) replied with 11 points and 5 assists and American Chris Daniels (200-82, college: Georgia) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Orchesien BC. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Nantes have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Denain and Boulazac. Orchesien BC lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Nantes will face higher ranked Le Portel (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Orchesien BC will play against Lille Metropole (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
