Regular Season Round 18: Hyeres-Toulon - Boulazac 95-75

ProB top team - Hyeres-Toulon (14-4) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Boulazac Basket (9-9) 95-75. The game was mostly controlled by Hyeres-Toulon. Boulazac Basket managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hyeres-Toulon shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. 25 personal fouls committed by Boulazac Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American point guard Maurice Acker (176-87, college: Marquette, agency: HMS) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 5 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots). William Howard (201-93) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU, agency: Inception Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import David Jackson (195-86, college: W.Illinois) added 16 points in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hyeres-Toulon have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-4 record. Boulazac Basket at the other side dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Nantes and Denain. Hyeres-Toulon are looking forward to face Charleville-Mezieres (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Boulazac Basket will play against JA Vichy (#14) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
