Regular Season Round 22: Rueil - SAP Vaucluse 85-68

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Rueil (15-7) beat at home 14th ranked SAP Vaucluse (9-13) 85-68. The game was mostly controlled by Rueil. SAP Vaucluse was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SAP Vaucluse to just 6 points in second quarter. Rueil players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Gregg Thondique (202-87, college: Virginia Union, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized Ivorian swingman Issife Soumahoro (197-88) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Guard Damir Karaibrahimovic (188-89) replied with 13 points and 8 assists and Erwan Andre (200-89) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for SAP Vaucluse. Rueil moved-up to third place, which they share with Lourdes and St Vallier. SAP Vaucluse lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Rueil's next round opponent will be JSA Bordeaux (#16) on the road which should be an easy win for them. SAP Vaucluse will play against Vendee Challans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
