There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Slask 2 Wroclaw (7-16) won against 12th ranked Spojnia (9-15) in Stargard 69-63 on Wednesday. Slask 2 Wroclaw made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. The winners were led by point guard Norbert Kulon (187-92) who scored that evening 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and center Pawel Mroz (214-84) supported him with 7 points and 14 rebounds. Four Slask 2 Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by guard Lukasz Pacocha (185-82) did not help to save the game for Spojnia. Maciej Raczynski (190-84, agency: Promotex) added 11 points and 6 rebounds. Spojnia's coach Wiktor Grudzinski rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Slask 2 Wroclaw moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Biofarm PZN. Spojnia lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 15 games lost. They share it with SKK Siedlce. Slask 2 Wroclaw will meet at home league's second-placed Sokol Lancut in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Spojnia will play against the league's leader Krosno (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
