Very important is a road loss of third ranked Cecina (15-7) against seventh ranked Valsesia (14-8) on Wednesday night. Visiting Cecina was defeated by Valsesia in a tough game in Valsesia 67-72. Valsesia forced 19 Cecina turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Nicolo Gatti (190-91) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Francesco Paolin (189-95) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Valsesia players scored in double figures. Valsesia's coach Lorenzo Pansa allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Power forward Antonio Gambolati (205-81, agency: Interperformances) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Lorenzo Caroti (185-97) added 15 points in the effort for Cecina. Valsesia moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Crema. Cecina at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Valsesia will play against Bottegone (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cecina will play against Torino (#15) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
