Regular Season Round 24: Notec Inowr. - AZS AWF Mick. 76-72

Date: February 17, 2016
Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked AZS AWF Mick. (6-18) lost to ninth ranked Notec Inowr. (10-14) in Inowroclaw 72-76 on Wednesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Notec Inowr. shot 24 for 34 from the free-throw line, while AZS AWF Mick. only scored seven points from the stripe. Notec Inowr. had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by center Karol Michalek (208-87, agency: Promotex) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Lukasz Ratajczak (201-86, agency: Promotex) supported him with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Even 19 points and 7 rebounds by forward Kamil Nowak (197-88) did not help to save the game for AZS AWF Mick.. Point guard Patryk Wieczorek (188-96) added 13 points and 4 assists. Five Notec Inowr. and four AZS AWF Mick. players scored in double figures. AZS AWF Mick.'s coach Miroslaw Stawowski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Notec Inowr. moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Nysa Klodzko and Rosa II Radom. AZS AWF Mick. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Notec Inowr. will meet higher ranked GKS Tychy (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AZS AWF Mick. will play against GTK Gliwice (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
