The game in Artemisa was also quite interesting. Third ranked Capitalinos (11-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Los Toros (6-12). Capitalinos managed to secure a 4-point victory 70-66 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was power forward Arlen Alorda (198-86) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. The former international power forward Eliezer Lima (202-75) chipped in 11 points. Capitalinos' coach Rainel Panfet used entire bench in such tough game. The former international point guard Osmel Oliva (178-87) produced 31 points and 4 assists and forward Legismel Borlot (195-87) added 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. Defending champion maintains third position with 11-5 record having 2 victories less than leader Villa Clara. Loser Los Toros keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. Capitalinos will meet at home league's leader Villa Clara in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Los Toros will play against Tigres (#4) in Camaguey and hope to secure a win.
