There was a minor upset when 9th ranked San Miniato (11-11) was edged at home by twelfth ranked Oleggio (9-13) 86-83 on Wednesday. Forward Riccardo Coviello (197-88) fired 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international power forward Alessandro Paesano (203-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Five Oleggio players scored in double figures. Guard Francesco Stefanelli (190-95) produced 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Roberto Bertolini (198-86) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Oleggio maintains twelfth position in B with 9-13 record. Newly promoted San Miniato dropped to the eighth place with 11 games lost. Oleggio will face higher ranked Piombino (#6) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
