There was no surprise when 12th ranked Chieti (9-13) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Trieste (11-11) 82-68 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Trieste. Chieti was better in second period 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Chieti 35-19 including 22 on the defensive glass. American forward Jordan Parks (201-94, college: N.C.Central, agency: Two Points) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Andrea Pecile (187-80) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. Five Trieste players scored in double figures. Trieste's coach Eugenio Dalmasson used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Isaiah Armwood (206-90, college: G.Washington) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and the former international forward Marco Allegretti (204-81) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Trieste maintains tenth position in A2 with 11-11 record. Loser Chieti keeps the twelfth place with 13 games lost. Trieste will face Bondi Ferrara (#11) on the road in the next round. Chieti will play against Roseto and hope to win that game.
