Regular Season Round 39: Gigantes - Soles 68-77

LNBP top team - Soles (35-3) managed to deliver another win on Thursday. This time they beat seventh ranked Gigantes (13-22) in Toluca 77-68. It was a good game for Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Alexander Perez Kaufmann (191-93, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 20 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) answered with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import swingman Tim Pickett (192-81, college: Florida St., agency: Interperformances) added 21 points in the effort for Gigantes. Four Gigantes players scored in double figures. Gigantes' coach Jorge Toussaint rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Soles have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 35-3 record. Gigantes at the other side keep the seventh position with 22 games lost. Soles will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gigantes will play again at home against the league's leader Soles (#1) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
