An interesting game took place in Maracay where 6th ranked Guaiqueries (8-10) were upset on the court of ninth ranked Toros (6-12) 107-98. Toros shot 61.3 percent from the field. 27 personal fouls committed by Guaiqueries helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American point guard Andre Barrett (180-82, college: Seton Hall) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international center Alejandro Barrios (204-79) contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Cesar Silva (190-81) replied with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman Francisco Centeno (201-85) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Guaiqueries. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Toros maintains ninth position with 6-12 record. Guaiqueries at the other side keep the sixth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
