Everything went according to plan when third ranked Bergamo (18-4) outleveled on the road 11th ranked Volpino (7-15) 78-59 on Thursday. They outrebounded Volpino 48-33 including 37 on the defensive glass. Power forward Rei Pullazi (203-93) fired 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Tommaso Milani (190-88) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Center S. Stanzani (207-96) produced 11 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bergamo maintains third position in B with 18-4 record behind leader Forli. Volpino lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 15 games lost. Bergamo will face Varese Coels. (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Volpino will play against Battaglia and hope to win that game.
